Sean Dwan is renowned for his great sense of humour, optimism, enthusiasm and his personable approach to people. He credits his outlook on life and his positive attitude to his early years, where he spent his time working hard in a multitude of different roles from picking stones on a farm to washing trains in Heuston Station.
As well as having worked in a multitude of roles Sean has also a multitude of qualifications which he says “Led to some of his most memorable life experiences…good and bad!” In his early years Sean studied in both UCD and University College Limerick. Once Sean was bitten by the bug of confidence building and public speaking, he went on to study Presentation & Public Speaking Skills Training in Oregon state and Leadership & Management Training in Colorado USA. Sean has also been a member of Toastmasters International for the past 21 years and has been a Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) since 2012.
Sean is married to Anne and lives in Nenagh Co. Tipperary. They have been married for a long long long time... and are happily still together! They have two children Neil and Nicki who are their pride and joy.
Besides his family, Sean considers other people to be most important in his life. Sean believes that every single person he meets is unique, fascinating and interesting and they make him love what he does.

Sean's Family

Sean's career
After spending his early years working in a variety of jobs in Ireland, Sean moved to London where he spent 5 years working in a sales role with an engineering company which supplied Engineering Machinery to Steel Fabrication Factories. After 5 years Sean returned home to Ireland where he set up an Engineering Fabrication Division with an Engineering Machinery Supply Company in Dublin. Sean worked in this role as sales manager and later as sales director for many years. It was during this time that Sean discovered that public speaking and presentation skills were essential to win contracts. This subsequently led to Sean setting up a Presentations & Public Speaking Training Skills Company which he is passionate about.

Speak for Success International
In 2008 Sean Dwan set up Speak for Success International and for the past 11 and a half years Sean has been providing training to individuals, SME's and large corporations on confidence building, public speaking and presentation skills as well as a various other courses.
Since Speak for Success International's set-up Sean has worked with many global corporations such as Johnson & Johnson, Voxpro Communications, Contracting Plus, Cook Medical and ESB to name a few.
Sean has also spent much of his time working with people on an individual basis helping them to feel comfortable and confident in themselves.
